Apartment Compost Tub

After reading a very good article about apartment composting, we decided to begin our own. While one of us has a home composting pile, the other who lives in a apartment and has no yard seems to be at a disadvantage of contributing with compost. But this article inspired us and we began our latest project of apartment compost bin.

We took this ordinary storage bin, with use to be filled with unnecessary items and emptied it. We then with throught the kitchen and mail piles to find items to add to the starting phases of the compost bin.

Which is our ultimate goal, we take these things very slowly. But my sidekick is very inspiring and she has made us see that we can do a much larger part in helping our environment, not just for the earth but for our childern.
